Dear Beloved in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Belated New Year Greetings and May our Lord richly bless and keep you. The end of November saw Becky and I being invited to speak in combine worship at Puic church who hosted the fellowship. Two hours drive out of Lae and three and half hours walk up the river a bank and climbing a mountain about 900 meters. The sweat, knee aching was worth it to meet up with three former MBC grads and their families who are actively involved in preaching and teaching the gospel. Bruce & Sara Aron, Esekiel & Lucy Sambun and Yambing & Nganu Isasal. This may be my last visit, but to see the Christians striving to live for the Lord was very encouraging. About 150 plus were there for the Sunday fellowship.

1st MOROBE PROVINCIAL YOUTH CAMP – 17 – 20th December 2009
After two years of fund raising our MBC Outreach Youth hosted the 1st Morobe Provincial Youth Camp. From the Waria Valley 129 Youths from four different congregations braved a week’s walk to Wau and got on a PMV to Lae. Their leaders were former MBC grads..Kara Muda, Roken Bodosa & Hele Jarope with their families. From Tami Island 24 who paddled a day and walked a day to get to Lae and the Markham youths came by PMV 50 plus.  The youths registered 330 plus attending the camp. The Theme was: “I want to know the Lamb of God”.  The highlight was the organizing, classes were done by our youths. The parents did the cooking. Velma Forman and team kept the toilets and showers clean in fear of the recent Cholera outbreak and provided assistance to those who are sick. Five new souls added to the church and one restored. Guest speaker for Sunday our son Tobey couldn’t make it from the USA so his fill in was his brother Abraham who preached a wonderful lesson on the “Return of the Lamb of God” Our other youth members, Cain & Nick Desiang and Arthur Tatara did a wonderful job as well. The other youth leaders were encouraged to return and train their youths to be leaders for tomorrow’s church generation.
Our prayers and goals are to train future strong church leaders.  We are grateful that you are all partners with us in this great challenging commission our Lord instructed us to do.  God bless,
Jab & Becky Mesa for His Cross…..MBC, Lae, Papua New Guinea
