Dear Brother:

We wish when you receive this email from your brothers from Guatemala that you are very blessed as all the elect of our God. Below we will give a brief summary of our activities this month.

Day 1 we were privileged to receive representatives of 10 congregations in this city for the purpose of presenting the draft unit for purchase and construction of a large area, for domestic use for retreats and worship together. Beautiful dream which, with God’s help support it.

Day 07 at night, we had the privilege of visiting hospitals again carrying a cup of coffee and also pray for patients and families of people who had died. This ministry has served the church for measuring the need to work harder in evangelization, for her spiritual need that we have observed

Day 08 For the glory of God was born a new ministry which we call the latter rain, that is PURPOSE visit our brethren who do not show on Sunday and already has a lot of time not to attend. We started with our brother Estuardo who are sick. And during the days Tuesday and Thursday also conduct such visits which have united us more and we have seen that attendance has improved.

Day 15 as well as a church we visited Morataya family of 8 members including 3 of them were sick..

For the next month we hosted 3 groups which are assigned a sector of the colony new Life, which will evangelize on Saturday afternoon to finish.

We hope that the Lord is one who does the work with these neighbors, we ask your prayers always.

In Christ Jesus,

Tobar Mario Dubon

Day 11 took place the closing quarter of classes with pre teens, who were evaluated and rewarded for adult men of the church, to encourage their effort to learn, and together with teachers to develop a manual and learn a word God its general divisions. Also that day we had several visits of students of the Bible course including the family Chioc, who have been consistent in visiting every Sunday.

Day 16 This day we had the joy of seeing the new birth of Glenda and her daughter Angie, who decided this day baptized after understanding through Bible study delivered to them and who were brought to the church as our new sisters on Sunday 18.

Day 21 after worship, we have made a surprise visit to Chioc Carmencita, who turned 15 years but the economic situation of this family was not asked any celebration, so I carry a cake and gave thanks to God together and share with her.

Day 06 was held a seminar for parents, with the theme THE EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN. With the purpose of instructing them in this delicate work of teaching according to the Bible. That same day our sister Julie Ordon asked the church a service of thanksgiving for her granddaughter birthday and had the opportunity to know their children and teach the word of God to several invited guests.

Day 7: The group of pre teen children and some small with their teachers, looked to visit the girl Laura Alvarez, who was operated on for appendicitis the day 4. Activity that was of great excitement and blessing to the Alvarez family and all children, because they learned the importance of visitation.

Day 12 we continued to the seminar for Sunday school teachers with the subject INSTRUCTIONS OR ENTERTAINMENT. With the purpose of correcting deficiencies in teachers in general aspects, such as aisstencia, timeliness, and especially to encourage them to learn ampliamene the word of God and thus pass on their knowledge to our children.

Day 24 We visit the home of our brother Juan Ramon, who lives at the foot of a mountain of stone and sand instead of high risk, heavy rain, but fortunately we found it.
This month was of joy, since late May, the mother of our brother, Brandon, is getting the Bible course and this month for Glora of God is visiting with her daughter Ange and wait on the Lord to be baptized soon.

Also we are still preaching in the morning on buses. It was a beautiful experience that some evangelical pastors have asked me WHY PREACHING THE BAPTISM AS A STEP OF SALVATION?

Report of May 2010

Dear Brother:

May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all our brothers are our wishes and our prayers.

This month we began operations on day 1, by the afternoon a THANKSGIVING WORSHIP, home of Micaela Baten, (student of the Bible course) who underwent surgery on her heart, and for the glory of God was a success and she requested that the church came to his house so that together agradecieramos this blessing. In the evening we visited 3 hospitals carrying coffee and every month. That for reasons of climate is not carried out in April 24 as scheduled.

Day 02 was a lunch with 6 families of the church who received the training for preachers, for fellowship and schedule the activities of the sisters who once again organized to go to visit the sisters who have left, I started a Ministry of service to take them to hospital patients, purchase of medicines, laundry or childcare. Because it was detected in great need.

During this month, God allowed us to visit and offer Bible study to 4 familes whom lived at high risk of violence at the center of Mixco.

A congregation located in Villa Nueva (15 km. Of us) had organized a seminar “THE CHURCH WHO ARE WE?. From 28 to 30 June in which we participate. But they canceled the facilities they had rented in the city center and held in the church facilities. But he had many problems because the 29 was the most disastrous storm. And he suspended the trip that would make the day 30.

We also had the wonderful experience of seeing the eruption of a volcano which is located just 25 km. Aprx. Sand us and greatly damage the roof of the congregation and at risk of falling by the weight of the sand that we could not clean because along with the eruption, the storm came agate. And we had serious problems to meet that rain water falling on us. But men get together and for the Glory of God to clean and repair materials, and thanks to our God, none had physical damage. Just because all of our houses materials are laminated.

We thank you for your prayers for these people so loved by God and for you.
His Brother

DICIEMBRE
The wish of this congregation for you is grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is of much joy to inform you of our activities in this month, which the Lord helped us to do.
We had the privilege, while having a thanksgiving service at our sisters Maria Luisa and Alejandrina, widow of Gomez, for her son’s first year of life. Because of the time of the year, different activities were organized for children, which were of great blessing and uplifting, they had a contest on all they had learned during the trimester.
According to the program we made for this year, during this month, every week end we went to visit hospitals to pray for the sick and their families, and take them some coffee and bread. This we did after 10 p.m.
Such activity was motivational for our brothers, and being aware of spiritual and material needs in those places, we decided to continue with the commandment of James 1:27 the last weekend of each month. We ask your prayers so that the church may not faint in this purpose.
Also, the last Sunday of December, the ministers signed a pact of work with God. We send attached the work program for 2010, and pray to be able to apply it.
In Christ,
 Mario Tobar Dubón

Noviembre
Dear brother
Receive our Greetings in the Lord, from the Church of Christ in Lo de Coy, Mixco.
It is a pleasure for me to tell you about the work that is being done in the church here thanks to the blessing that you share with me.
In November I decided to strengthen the message that the church receives, by visiting the brothers in their homes, dividing my time among reinforcing the brothers and evangelistic work, using Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Thanks to God I was able to visit 12 homes. Working on Wednesdays and Saturdays, I was able to meet and evangelize: Juan Guillermo Gómez,  Julio Oroxon, Sebastiana Canel, Pedro Tambriz and Alexander Vásquez. I ask your prayers for them, so the Lord my give the growth of His Word in their hearts.
We had a thanksgiving service at the home of our sister Alba Marina widow of Martínez, because God protected the life of her grandson after falling from 20 meters. To God be the glory.
It was also of great joy for the church that young Luis Fernando Vásquez came to our worship service the first Sunday of November, since he was absent for health issues during a whole year.
With help from God and other brothers we were able to have a special activity in the home of our sister Norma Vásquez de Alonso, after finishing the study we gave her. We trust and hope in the Lord that this family may turn to the Lord.
In Christ Jesus,
Mario Tobar Dubon

Octubre
It is a great blessing to be able to greet you once more in the Lord, asking Him to always protect and bless you.
Thanks to God’s blessing, we were able to share on October 4th with different congregations a special worship service for unity among churches in Mixco. This activity was held in a park, and our children and teachers also had participation.
We want to share the news that in the Lord we have new brothers:
Brandon Santizo,15 years old was baptized on october 4,
Jaime Hernández, 60 years old, was baptized the 14, and
Paulino castellanos, 94years old was batized the 25th.
Please keep them in your prayers.
Our children had their Bible school season’s end, in which an exam was made to the congregation regarding what they had learned during the period of classes.
To maintain harmony and fellowship among the members, we had a recreational activity on the 18th; it was a great experience for children, young ones and adults.
It is also a pleasure to tell you that our ladies are active in their ministry; they had a special trip to an ecological park, and both single and married women participated, and some of the men helped to take care of children.
Having in mind the program for the year, the church visited the orphan’s center with children that are HIV positive. This was a memorable experience, and we were able to share benevolence with this center. All of the groups of our congregation participated.
By God’s blessing, we continue to study the evangelistic course with 6 people, and we are visiting and encouraging members in general, and giving follow up to those who where baptized with the “My first 40 days” course.
We always thank you because it is thanks to the Lord and your effort that this congregation is being blessed.
We already installed the gate from the side of the street, so now our children and our belongings are a little safer.
In Christ Jesus,
Your brother
Mario Tobar Dubón.

Greetings in the love of the Lord from your brothers in Christ in Guatemala. In the month of august, here we remember and are thankful for the pure Gospel arrived here 50 years ago.
For this reason, we have been participating in the organization of a thanks giving worship service nation wide since a few months back, for this 50th anniversary on August 14 and 15th.
Our congregation had the privilege to serve organizing parking, and our women were able to teach the children present.
We also organized a spiritual night of prayer with the youth group, which was of blessing for all, the 13th.
And with the ladies group we organized an evangelistic campaign the 1st, and all the ladies participated. For God’s glory, we had 6 visiting women with whom we shared the word of God, games, presents and snacks.
At the end of the month, both grown ups and children honored our sister Guadalupe, who is 87 years old and also sick, she was hospitalized for 2 weeks.

For now we are preparing the last campaign of the year: “Mixqueños para Cristo” (Mixcans for Christ), which will have as subject: “how to be a true chanpion”, since Mixco is called the land of champions. For this I have designed a daily work plan, accompanied by the members of the church to evangelize and invite neighbors, and that way grasp many different places.
In Christ Jesus,
Your Brother:

Blessings for all of you brothers. May the peace of God reign in your hearts.
In the month of July we organized the church to go out in the streets near to the congregation to evangelize. Thanks to the Lord everyone was able to participate in this labor.
We were able to make 6 contacts for Bible study. I’m studying the 7-lessons evangelistc course with them, and it has been well received, and they are surprised for what they are learning from Scripture.
During this month I also prepared 2 conferences about virginity and the importance of marriage for the youth group. They are also working for the unity of the group and are active in evangelism. With the ladies group I’m also teaching workshops so they can be prepared to be good women, mothers, wives and leaders, acording to Scripture.
We also gave baptism certificates to our new brothers that were baptized in the second trimester of this year.

Miraculously we received 3 boxes of printed materials for children from our brothers in Wichita Falls. They have proven to be of great help and blessing for our teachers that work with the little ones. (Photos). We also requested from their catalog some evangelistic tracts, but we haven’t received answer if they will be sending them or not.

In Christ Jesus,
Your Brother,
