10 Weeks of Commitment. . . A Lifetime of Change
Mission Statement:
We will glorify and honor our Father God by providing the financial skills and tools, which emphasize Biblical stewardship; resulting in God’s blessings of joy, contentment and peace.
What Is This?
• A course in which Biblical financial principles and basic financial concepts will be taught in group settings
• An introductory course in money management
• Life transforming teachings about faithful stewardship
This Is Not . . .
• An MBA course in finance or an advanced estate planning course
• An attempt to increase Maple Hill’s budget, but rather focusing on being good stewards of God’s gifts
• A course that endorses or sells financial products or services
Is This For Me?
Topics Covered Will Be:
• God’s Part & Our Part, Debt, Counsel, Honesty, Giving, Work, Investing, Perspective, & Eternity
What Can I Expect?
• To start a path to rid yourself of excess debt
• To become a consistent saver, generous giver and a more prudent consumer
• A better understanding of what the Bible teaches concerning financial management
• To become more content with where you are in life
• If you are married, a stronger marriage
Most of all, a closer relationship with Jesus Christ
What Is Expected of Me?
• Daily prayer for each member of your group and yourself
• To read and study assigned scriptures each week
• To complete weekly homework assignments
• To attend a minimum of 8 of the 10 classes
• As you learn to apply the principles, a closer walk with God
Guiding Principles
• We will honor and respect the dignity of all participants
• Confidentiality issues will be one of the highest priorities for facilitators and participants
• Accumulation of material wealth in and of itself isn’t the goal; Godly financial management is
• Equip believers with knowledge about stewardship to defend against Satan’s efforts to rob us of our joy
• Commitment and a desire to change behavior is expected; an investment of emotional energy and time is necessary
• Presentation and implementation of curriculum will be basic and easy to follow
