Mike Wamble
Associate Minister
mike.wamble@maplehillchurch.orgI am the Associate Minister here at Maple Hill. I am in the office most week days preparing for Bible classes, helping with benevolence calls, as well as a whole host of other church projects. When not in the office, you will find me out making visits or attending church events and activities.
I’m married to a wonderful girl, Heather, since 1999. I also have three fantastic sons and a dog named Cooper. I’ve worshipped here at Maple Hill since 2000, and I have been fortunate to be on staff for most of that time. I completed my undergraduate work at Lipscomb University and my Masters at Freed-Hardeman University.
The best thing about Maple Hill is the people; people that really love the Lord and love serving Him and each other. I think that’s what makes the real difference in a congregation.
One of my favorite Bible passages is Matthew 11:28-30. We live in such a broken world. Here, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” There is such hope in Jesus’ words – something we all need.

Ben Herchenhahn
Youth Minister
ben@maplehillchurch.orgI am the Youth Minister here at Maple Hill. I grew up in a town just north of Nashville called Springfield. I went to Goodpasture Christian School in Madison until I graduated in 2011. I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University I have been a youth minister since 2015, and I have worked at Maple Hill since 2019.
My wife, Natalie and I live Lebanon with our dog, Stella. I am just a normal guy. I like sports, movies, and wood working. Natalie is probably the best thing about me, so let me tell you a little bit about her. Natalie is a real estate agent for a company called TRP. We were married in 2018 and she is very involved with the ministry. Stella, our dog, is as sweet as can be, but always getting into trouble.
I work with all ages, but my emphasis is in 6th through 12th grade. I am here to help as a mentor to the youth and young adults. My goal is to help their faith develop and grow. The idea is to create a faith that is their own that will last beyond high school and into adulthood. I work with the parents to create relationships between the teens, parents, and God. I am here to help the youth become productive and lifelong workers for the Kingdom.
My favorite verses are in Mark 12:30-31 (The Greatest commands, Love God and others). It reminds us about what is important; above all else to love God and if you love God you will love His people. I know that this is something Maple Hill does. We love God above all else, and we love His people.

Jamie Hobgood
Worship & Family Minister
jamie.hobgood@maplehillchurch.orgI am the Worship and Family Minister here at Maple Hill. I also serve as a deacon with emphasis on the Youth and Family programs. I work with our Youth Minister on events for the 6th -12th grades as well as many family and children events. I also lead the worship on most Sunday mornings, as well as teach a “New Songs” class a couple times a year.
Our Sunday morning worship style at Maple Hill is a good mix of traditional worship songs along with contemporary praise and worship numbers, including many current tunes you will hear on Christian radio today. We display the sheet music on almost all songs we sing, and we encourage everyone to sing out their praises to God, while uplifting one another in the process.
I am a bi-vocational minister, so in addition to my work at Maple Hill, I am the Recruiting Manager for a regional insurance company headquartered in Columbus, OH. My wife, Karen, homeschools our three children, Jonas, Jaden, and Keely. I enjoy camping, golf, tennis, racquetball, volleyball, football, and basketball. I also really enjoy singing, though I am more of a bass singer than lead, and have toured with two different a cappella quintets, Impressionand Half Past 6. You can still find some of the Half Past 6songs on iTunes. A couple of those, “New Creation” and “Let the People Rejoice”, written by a good friend, Brent Whitworth, have made their way in the worship rotation at Maple Hill.
Maple Hill has been home for us since 2007. We were members here for 2 years before beginning our work with the youth group, so we are definitely members first, staff second. Maple Hill is large enough to offer amazing opportunities to not only members of the youth group but our own kids as well. Maple Hill is small enough that we can still be a family. In the words of a famous little girl that had some bears as friends… “Maple Hill is just right!”

Kolleen Mangrum
Office Manager
secretary@maplehillchurch.orgI am the Office Administrator here at Maple Hill. I also serve with a group of five women who help oversee our many Ladies’ Ministries. I help answer questions that anyone may have about sick members as well as help the church family with various requests they may have. I aid with maintaining an accurate attendance record to help the ministers and elders shepherd the congregation.
I have been married to a wonderful man, Jeff, since 1998. We have two active boys who keep us busy with their various sporting events. We have attended Maple Hill since 1999; however, I have only been in my position as the Office Administrator since 2015. I have been involved with the Ladies’ Ministry Coordinators since 2003.
My favorite scripture is Joshua 24:14-15: “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates river and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Meredith Davenport
Director of Children's Ministries
meredith.davenport@maplehillchurch.orgMy husband and I came to Maple Hill in 2009. We knew immediately that this is where we wanted to be and felt it was the perfect church home to grow as a couple in Christ and to raise our future family. I have been involved in many ministry areas over the years, but my heart is in working with children.
In March of 2020, I was honored to be named the Director of Children’s Ministries. I have two verses that I feel guide this ministry. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” We find the second verse in Matthew 19:14, “Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
It is my goal to work together with our congregation, coordinators and volunteers to train and teach every child how to love and follow Jesus. We are excited about all of the options offered to our kids as they get involved and learn to serve in our congregation and community.
I have been married to Jeffrey Davenport since May 2007. He serves as a deacon for the church and is involved in several ministries here. We have two wonderful boys, Levi and Turner, who love all of the activities and opportunities they have through this ministry. They both play sports, and we love to watch them on the field doing what they love. As a family, we like to travel, hike, swim and just enjoy the beautiful nature God has given us.
Moving forward, I pray that I’m able to step out of His way, and let the Lord work through me in this role. I can’t wait to see what He does for the children of Maple Hill!
